I’ve finally decided on this year’s theme for a Scratch Day event – Plastic Steampunk!
Steampunk is a genre of Victorian-style science fiction. So, microcontrollers and 3D printing pens might not seem to be ideal companions to it.
But using modern tools to disguise a home-made high tech item so it wouldn’t look out of place in the late 19th and early 20th century – that would be just what a Victorian time-traveller could be looking for!
My plan is to document our ideas on this blog – build some stuff before, during and after Scratch Day. Then, provided all goes well; exhibit our work at the Prague International Robotics Festival and the Budapest Scratch Conference.
